    I am a Canadian citizen and trader with Questrade and Interactive Brokers.

    I was automatically denied and nobody from AMP can seem to tell me why. I have zero debt, I trade futures/commodities/equities for years now with no issues with any other broker.

    All of my information including SIN# was correctly typed in, passport, drivers license, bank statements all correct. What is the issue?

    It shouldn't be this hard to open an account

    This is kind of the last resort to post on here to see if someone can bring up my file again and see what the issue is. I've already tried emailing compliance/new account and they didn't help me.

      See that's the thing, I did email and this is what I received:

      It baffles me because I have all of my things in order or else I wouldn't be trading on my broker platforms. The email or phone line were no help. Am I able to go up higher in the chain? Feel like just taking my business elsewhere at this point.

        I'm sorry.... as stated by the Compliance department...if they have declined you for an account with AMP there is no recourse. they are not going to tell you why they have their reasons which is known only to them..there is no one higher up to appeal to.
