  • How do I create Continuous Contract Chart using MultiCharts/ CQG ?

CQG data feed does not support continuous contracts.

However, you can create a Custom Futures contract in your QuoteManager, which means you locally merge individual contracts according to your rules.

    1. Add individual futures contracts by going to QuoteManager > Instrument > Add Symbol > From Data Source > CQG.

    2. After all needed symbols are added to QuoteManager, go to Instrument > Add Custom Futures.

    3. Select CQG as the Data Feed and the symbol you want to merge. Tick the months you want, and set all other settings. Click OK.

    4. The continuous symbol is now available for charting in MultiCharts.

Here is where you can find more information on Custom Futures >>

oldxp Just to confirm after creating the continuous contract are you using the new custom futures symbol on the chart? For example to verify you will want to right click on the existing chart and go to format instrument, on the instrument tab you will see the field "Instrument" if the original symbol map is displayed in that field versus the custom futures symbol you created you will need to change it to the custom futures symbol so you can use the continuous futures contract. If that is the case you can change the original symbol by backspacing to remove the symbol in the instrument field it's self and then you can click on the custom futures tab to select the continuous contract you have created. Once you have done that be sure to click on the settings tab and set the "Data Range" to "From" 1/1/2016 to today's date.

Here is a screenshot for reference let me know if this helps.
