  • Inverse Fisher Transform RSI

    I can build a home with my bare hands, operate difficult software programs and hit a golf ball 260 YDS but for the life of me, I can't figure out this coding crap. I've read the help files and obtained the EL for one of my favorite indicators but still can't get it to work for MC.Net. Can someone give me a hand (as in do it for me)?

    EasyLanguage Code to Take the Inverse Fisher Transform of an RSI

    Vars: IFish(0);

    Value1 = .1*(RSI(Close, 5) - 50);
    Value2 = WAverage(Value1, 9);
    IFish = (ExpValue(2*Value2) - 1) / (ExpValue(2*Value2) + 1);

    Plot1(IFish, "IFish");
    Plot2(0.5, "Sell Ref");
    Plot3(-0.5, "Buy Ref");

    funny, for me it's the exact opposite. anything other than code and digital devices make no sense to me.

    unfortunately, i don't use MC. or rather fortunately, as the app sucks. but from what you say, it seems that all you have to do is copy/paste the code you have into the MC script editor and have that import it into the app to run it. once the app has it and recognizes it, you'd proceed as with any other indicator you attach to a chart. however in the code above, i don't see any actual computation of the Fisher component itself.

      Yeah, I'm finding out that that's the Inverse Fisher part to be applied to an RSI. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

IN ADDITION, HYPOTHETICAL TRADING DOES NOT INVOLVE FINANCIAL RISK, AND NO HYPOTHETICAL TRADING RECORD CAN COMPLETELY ACCOUNT FOR THE IMPACT OF FINANCIAL RISK IN ACTUAL TRADING. THERE ARE NUMEROUS OTHER FACTORS RELATED TO THE MARKETS IN GENERAL OR TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ANY SPECIFIC TRADING PROGRAM WHICH CANNOT BE FULLY ACCOUNTED FOR IN THE PREPARATION OF HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS AND ALL OF WHICH CAN ADVERSELY AFFECT ACTUAL TRADING RESULTS.
